Today was the day I both dreaded and looked forward to: the Odyssey of the Mind competition day. Luke was in a group ranging from kindergarteners to 2nd graders who had a problem called "The Candy Factory". Their group invented the candy, made the set, made the dialog, and performed it.
I was so worried because during all of the practices throughout the school year, Luke was the silly one. He was the one we all worried would blow the whole thing. But, he was perfect. PERFECT! I nearly cried. Tomorrow, he is getting the lightsaber he was eyeing at the store. Well deserved, I'd say!
