This day was all about the kids. It started with pancakes in the morning and ended with ice cream for a bedtime snack. It's like we over compensated with fun since the dread of tomorrow is looming over us.
Today was the last day of Chris' week long visit. It sure has spoiled us all. We rarely spend 24/7 together as a family so this week was a rare gift. We know we won't have time together like this for a long, long time.
We took the kids swimming today. It was Elise's first time in the pool and she loved it. Luke spent most of his time trying to catch a ball thrown to him as he jumped in. Maria is loving swimming on her own.
After dinner we took the kids bowling. Even though we used the bumpers it didn't help our scores. It actually turned our game into a combination of pool and bowling. And for Luke, he used the bowling ball as a giant version of a Bakugan ballby just whipping it down the lane for battle. Maria was hilarious because she would do a cartwheel after knocking over a good amount of pins. Thank goodness that place was kid friendly!
After bowling we rented "Bedtime Stories" and let the kids stay up late to watch it. We ate Ben & Jerry's Cherry Garcia in waffle bowls and cuddled on the couch. It was then that we sensed our time was coming to a close. Watching Chris tuck in the kids tonight was where I reached my breaking point. I have a feeling tomorrow is going to be very difficult.
IT HAS BEEN FORETOLD

Oh sweetie. Such a blessing and curse. What an amazing week to have as a family. But so unfair that it is coming to an end. :( You are in my thoughts!!!
